Originally from Devon but now trying life in the big smoke... I try to run everywhere I can! My passion for The Daily Mile comes from the fundamentally simple belief that being active makes you feel better, both physically and mentally, whatever your age! I was born in Birmingham, but quickly lost the accent as I moved to Manchester – now with a strong northern accent I fit the title of The Daily Mile Northern Coordinator. I have seen first-hand the positive impact The Daily Mile initiative can have on pupils and staff, and I am excited to see more schools sign up.

In my spare time I enjoy playing hockey and exploring National Trust properties out in the countryside. I speak Spanish too! I want to share my passion for getting children active with our Gloucestershire schools, so that they can encourage one another to start and keep on running The Daily Mile!

Having just completed a PhD in Physical Activity, using behaviour change methodologies to guide intervention implementation and sustainability in schools, I’m very excited to take on a new role with GreaterSport and The Daily Mile! I aim to use these skills to motivate and encourage greater uptake of schools across Greater Manchester.

I’ve been at the Herts Sports Partnership for over a year, and am excited to be promoting The Daily Mile across the county. In my spare time I play netball for a local club and am a regular at parkrun.

I am a 23 year old from Cornwall, who loves pasties and all forms of physical activity. I believe that every child deserves a healthy and happy future, and that The Daily Mile can change lives. In my spare time I like to volunteer for parkrun and travel the globe.

ABOUT ME

I have a degree in Sport and Exercise development from the University of Sunderland, play a number of sports - including football, cricket, athletics, golf... - and coached several junior sporting teams. I also enjoy physical activity challenges, such as the Great North Swim, parkrun and the 24hr Three Peaks Challenge. I am really looking forward to promoting The Daily Mile!

Sadly, I am not a northerner but studied in Leeds and loved it so much that I moved back up North! I enjoy a range of sports including gymnastics, netball, hockey and competitive cheerleading. I have always been passionate about physical activity especially working with young children, hopefully influencing them to adopt healthy lifelong habits.
