Damhead run daily miles for cancer

Inspired by the ‘Daily Mile’ scheme in Scotland, where children run a mile every day during school, P4 teacher Miss McWilliams decided to introduce the run to her class at Damhead Primary in October 2015.
The children run four laps round the school grounds weather permitting, the equivalent of one mile. P4 thoroughly enjoy the run and the most obvious benefits are fitness and energy levels have improved as well as greater concentration in class.
