The Daily Mile in Wood Fold Fledglings Pre-School, Wigan

Wood Fold Fledglings Pre School in Wigan shows us how they do their Daily Mile. Wood Fold are one of 52 primary and nursery schools in Wigan that have joined The Daily Mile movement.

Children as young as 2 years old are now taking part in this quick, simple, and free initiative-for-schools. The Daily Mile is profoundly simple: children are encouraged to run or jog for 15 minutes every day in their primary and nursery schools, from desk-to-desk. In this time, most children will average at least one mile distance.

Daily Mile programme could help keep children fit and attentive in class, hopes Bury Council
